ROCKINGHAM, North Carolina—In fashion, timing is everything; in family it’s destiny.

When Dia and Lyndsey Reynolds stepped onto the runway for designer Malou Tabada Cordery they brought a rare, mirror like energy to the catwalk.

Debuting simultaneously, the sisters offered a striking visual narrative of contrast and connection, instantly capturing the attention of every photographer in the room and snagging views or clicks on social media when their photos and video was uploaded last Saturday.

Dia, the elder sister, recently joined the ‘Fiesta Mo sa USA’ event in Florida sponsored by ABS-CBN as she represented North Carolina.  At 19 years old, she stands 5’5 and loves nature.

Her mom Doreen calls Dia ‘my little mama’ because Dia acts as mother to her siblings. But what’s distinctive is her spending time with her sister Lyndsey. Dia is described by her sister as ‘my safe place and my biggest joy.’

Lyndsey turned 17 last month and is graduating this year at Julius Chambers. She loves sports, playing soccer and being a varsity wrestler.

She is also into leadership training as a member of the student council and she already earned some college credits.  Their mama said ‘both are happy together.’

During the fashion show, Dia and Lyndsey wore fashion designer Marilou Cordery’s polka-dots collection.

Before the lights went up and the bass dropped, Dia and Lyndsey shared a quick squeeze of hands at backstage last Saturday at the Charlotte Seen Fashion Week.

They both emerged on the runway in perfect alignment with the other models of Malou Cordery. Not just as rising models but as sisters making their joint debut.

The sisters turned a high stakes fashion event in Charlotte Seen Fashion Week into a historic family milestone.

Both are daughters of Dexter Reynolds who originally hailed from Georgia and Doreen Burdios of Cagayan de Oro City in northern Mindanao, Philippines.  Doreen is an active member of the Filipino-American Community of the Carolinas Inc. (FACC) and held various positions in the FACC for years.

Based on how they wowed those who watched the show, Dia and Lyndsey could be the next Gigi and Bella Hadid.
